Hiba Zafran

I am a third culture kid, queer poetess, and introverted nerd of Syrian-Lebanese-Palestinian heritage. My academic and therapeutic work reflects my own and my family’s storytelling traditions and generational paths towards healing, while also engaging with and learning from Indigenous resilience and communities. I am drawn to envisioning and laying ground to stand/wheel/dance on with folks for whom this has been denied, or where it does not exist yet.

I am grateful to question, teach, create trouble, practice and give care on unceded Kanien'kehá:ka (Mohawk) territory in Tiohtià:ke (Montréal, QC).
